Spain’s Big Three: How to Visit Barcelona, Madrid, and Seville
Barcelona is a city full of gems, both hidden and famous. You can fly to BCN (Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport) from many US international airports, and start your Spanish adventure in style. You can stay at a hotel on the iconic Plaça Catalunya, and enjoy easy access to many hidden gems.
The real gems are waiting for you to discover them. You can walk to many of Barcelona’s most popular attractions, such as Gaudi’s masterpieces, the Gothic Quarter, La Rambla, and the Mercat de la Boqueria. Or you can go off the beaten path and explore some of Barcelona’s hidden gems, such as:
- The Bunkers at Carmel, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the city and the sea from the remains of civil war anti-aircraft bunkers.
- The Moll de Gregal, a peaceful walkway that encloses Port Olimpic and offers lovely views of the beach and the W Hotel.
- The Collserola Natural Park, where you can hike in the forest and breathe in the fresh air.
- The CosmoCaixa, a science museum that features a rainforest, a planetarium, and interactive exhibits.
