Stay Ready: Top Things to Carry in Your Carry-On

  • Passport, ID, boarding passes, travel insurance, and any necessary visas — keep them organized in a travel wallet or clear pouch.
  • Travel pillow, cozy socks, eye mask, earplugs or noise cancelling headphones, and a lightweight blanket or shawl. Don’t forget essential medications and a small first aid kit!
  • Always carry prescription medications in their original containers, along with copies of your prescriptions. Don’t forget any medical devices you rely on such as CPAP machines, inhalers, insulin pumps, or hearing aids — plus their chargers or batteries.
  • Phone, charger, power bank, headphones, ereader or tablet with downloaded books, games, or movies, and a universal adapter if needed.
  • Pack nonperishable, protein rich snacks like nuts, granola bars, or dried fruit, plus an empty reusable water bottle to fill after security.
  • Toothbrush & toothpaste, deodorant, facial wipes, hand sanitizer, moisturizer, lip balm, and a small hairbrush.
  • A fresh set of underwear or socks and a lightweight layer can be a lifesaver during unexpected delays.
  • Wallet with cash and credit cards, glasses or contact lenses with solution, and any other personal items you can’t travel without.
